I find myself overwhelmed in prayer for the people of Haiti. I remember this same feeling of helplessness for the people affected by Hurricane Katrina. So many needs, so much suffering, so much, so much...

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Romans 8:26

Thank God for His gift of the Spirit that knows our hearts and intercedes on our behalf. This human, weak willed, and needing a break from visions of death and destruction person has a God who understands and has compasion on me.

He will have no less compassion on the people of Haiti.
